Black pepper beef with onions and ginger is a delicious dish. I know for a fact that most kids love to order this dish when eating at cafes. It's one of the favorite choice for my teenage son when a restaurant menu seemed unappealing to him.
Ingredients and Preparation for 4

Prepare by slicing 1.5 lbs beef.

Prepare slices of ginger, large onions, jalapeno, or bell chillies.

Marinate beef with 2 tbs dark soya sauce, 2 tbs oyster sauce, 1 tbs sugar, 1 tbs black pepper, 1/2 tsp white pepper. Leave for overnight in refrigerator.
Cooking Steps

Fry ginger, large onions, chillies in 5 tbs cooking oil over medium heat until fragrant.

Add marinated beef. Continue frying at medium heat.

Add 2 cups water. Cover with top, and leave to simmer for 15 minutes over low heat. When meat is tender, add corn flour mixture (2 tbs corn flour to 4 tbs water) to thicken the gravy. When ready to serve, garnish with parsley or cilantro.
