HOT N SOUR SOUP ©





Tofu is of Chinese origin. Tofu is its Japanese name, while in China it is known as doufu and it is also a part of East Asian and Southeast Asian cuisine such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and others. Tofu is a staple in the cuisines of many Asian countries.

Hot and sour soup can be prepared in variety of ways with any choice of meats and vegetables. For this soup dish - tofu, bamboo shoots, carrots and mushroom are selected. 
One can find such soup dish in most restaurants in Malaysia. Vinegar and chilli spices is added to give the soup a sour and peppery rich flavor . 


Ingredients and Preparation for 4 


Prepare by slicing pork or chicken meat into tiny cubes.

Prepare by slicing taufoo into tiny cubes, bamboo shoots, chopped fresh or canned mushroom, carrots, chilli, tomatoes.

Cooking Steps

Boil 8 cups of water. When water is boiling, add pork/chicken meat. Once boiling, add the rest of the prepared condiments.










For flavor, add:- 2 tsp chicken stock brand, 3 tsp salt, 2 tsp vinegar, 3 tsp chilli spices, some pepper. Boil for 20 minutes, and add 2 unbeaten eggs to the soup. Stir gently.
Ready to serve, garnish with parsley and green onions.
